Find your place, feel at home, and connect with other international English-speaking women
Message from our President
Welcome to Bordeaux and to the Bordeaux Women’s Club website! I am honored to introduce you to this outstanding association of women from every corner of the world.
The Bordeaux Women’s Club (BWC) was started in 1951 during the Cold War by American Military Wives as a support network while living abroad. Our association has grown and flourished over the years into a dynamic group of international English speaking women living in Bordeaux and it’s region. Our members come from over 24 different nations. All age groups are represented and welcome. One of our greatest strengths is each other’s experience whether we are just starting our first job, raising children or enjoying a peaceful retirement. (Read more about the Club here)
We provide support to English speaking women who have recently arrived in the area. The association offers numerous opportunities to make friends and discover this beautiful and historical part of the world. We offer many monthly activities, both during the day and in the evenings, like book clubs, tours, luncheons, and evenings at the opera to name a few. All of our activities as well as the administration of the club are managed by our volunteer members. (Check out the current calendar & full list of activities here.)
We look forward to welcoming you to our association. Please feel free to get in touch with us.
